How to Submit ITR Attachments via BIR eAFS

This article aims to help users in dowloading, compiling, and submitting their ITR attachments to the BIR via eAFS.

Congratulations on filing your Income Tax Return! To fully complete your filing, you must submit your supporting attachments to the BIR’s Electronic Audited Financial Statements (eAFS) portal at https://eafs.bir.gov.ph/eafs.

This guide covers everything you need for both Quarterly and Annual ITR submissions.


Phase 1: Downloading Your Files from Taxumo

The files you need depend on whether you are submitting for a specific quarter or for the full year.

For Annual ITR Attachments

  1. Log in to your Taxumo account.

  2. Select the eAFS module on the left side of the screen (located under the Help Center> Other Features).

  3. You will see a list of all necessary attachments available for download for your Annual filing.

For Quarterly ITR Attachments

  1. Go to File Taxes and select the Past Filings tab.

  2. Select the completed quarterly filing you need to submit.

  3. Click View Form to open the tax return in a new tab, then click Print and select Save as PDF.

  4. Use the dropdown menu next to the form to download your BIR Confirmation, Tax Payment Record, and SAWT Confirmation.


Phase 2: Organizing and Naming Your Files

BIR requires attachments to be merged into specific PDF groups and renamed using a very strict naming convention.

The 4 Main File Groups

  • File 1 - Income Tax Return (ITR): Your ITR form and BIR email confirmation.

  • File 2 - Audited Financial Statements (AFS): Only required for Annual filings or specific quarterly requirements.

  • File 3 - Others (OTH): Prior year's ITR (if claiming credits), SAWT confirmations, or 2304 forms.

  • File 4 - Tax Credits (TCR): Copies of 2307s (found under Input Tax Withheld), 2316s, or proof of foreign tax credits.

Proper Naming Convention

Replace XXXXXXXXX with your 9-digit TIN, MM with the month-end, and YYYY with the taxable year.

Note: For quarterly filings, replace #Q with the specific quarter (e.g., 1Q, 2Q, or 3Q).

Phase 3: Submitting to the eAFS Portal

Once your PDFs are merged and renamed, follow these steps to upload them:

  1. Register or Log In: If you don't have an account, click Not Registered? and follow the email verification steps.

  2. Upload: Click File Upload on the left sidebar.

  3. Attach: Click the Choose button for each corresponding row (ITR, AFS, etc.) and select your prepared files.

5. Submit: Click the submit button at the bottom. You will receive a BIR confirmation email with a Transaction Number.
